Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Drive Log is developed and published by Tallie Tales LLC, a limited liability company organized in the United States ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the Drive Log application for iPhone and iPad handles information. Contact: piledrivingapp@tallietales.com.

2. Information we collect

None. We do not collect, receive, transmit, or store any personal information from users of Drive Log. Specifically, Drive Log does not collect:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials
• Location or GPS data
• Contacts, photos, calendars, or other device content
• Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
• Usage analytics, behavioral data, or crash telemetry

Drive Log has no user accounts and no sign-in.

3. Information you create in the app

Blow counts, pile and project details, notes, and any other content you enter are stored locally on your iPhone using the operating system's standard app storage. This data is not transmitted to Tallie Tales LLC or to any third party. We have no ability to access, view, or recover it.

You control this data. Exporting or sharing a log — by email, Files, AirDrop, or any other destination you choose from the iOS share sheet — sends it wherever you direct it, and that recipient's own privacy practices then apply.

Deleting Drive Log from your iPhone deletes the data stored inside it.

3a. The microphone

Drive Log asks for microphone access so it can hear the pile hammer: it detects each impact to count blows and uses the sound of the hammer to estimate the ram stroke. The audio is analysed on your device as it arrives. It is never recorded, saved to the device, or transmitted anywhere — no sound file exists at any point, and nothing but the resulting blow counts and stroke figures is kept. You can decline microphone access and record blows by tapping instead; you can change the permission at any time in Settings › Drive Log › Microphone.

4. Device backups

If your iPhone is configured to back up to iCloud or to a computer, Drive Log's local data may be included in those backups. Those backups are made by Apple's software under your control and are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one.

5. Third parties

Drive Log contains no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or software development kits. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal information, because we do not have any. We do not track users across apps or websites.

Apple provides aggregate, anonymized App Store statistics to us as the developer — for example, total downloads. This information comes from Apple, is not tied to identifiable individuals, and is governed by Apple's own policies.

6. Children's privacy

Drive Log is a professional field tool intended for construction and deep foundation work. It is not directed to children, and because the app collects no personal information at all, we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 or from anyone else.

7. If you contact us

When you email piledrivingapp@tallietales.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem you reported. We do not add support correspondents to a marketing list or share their messages with third parties.

8. Your rights

Privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port personal data a company holds about you, and to object to its sale. Tallie Tales LLC holds no personal data from Drive Log users, so there is nothing for us to produce, correct, or delete. Data you created in the app is already in your sole possession and you can delete it yourself at any time by removing the app or clearing its contents. If you contacted us by email and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it.

9. Data security

Because Drive Log stores data only on your device and transmits nothing, your information is protected by your iPhone's own security — your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and Apple's device encryption. Keeping your device locked and updated is the most effective protection for your logs.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how Drive Log handles information, we will post an updated policy at this address and revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be described in the app's App Store release notes.
